Method of preparation of barium octafluorozirconate
Description
A method of barium octafluoroziirconate preparation of the composition Ba2ZrF8 is suggested. Instead of solid-phase high-temperature synthensis aqueous solutions of ammonium hexafluorozirconate and barium nitrate are used and the process is conducted at 50-85 deg C in the presence of HF. Hydrofluoric acid is introduced into solution in the amount exceeding the stoichiometry by a factor of 1.1-1.6. Filtrated precipitate is dried at 190 deg C, the product yield is 98.6-99.7 %
