Description

The absolute differential cross sections of the 14N(d, α)12C reactions for the α0, α1 and α2 groups (going respectively to this ground, 4.433 MeV and 7.616 MeV states), have been measured at 90 degrees (lab. system) in the deuteron energy range of 2-12 MeV in 50-100 KeV steps. Thin targets (150-300 μg/cm2) of Adenin (c5H5N5), evaporated into 20 μg/cm2 thin self supporting carbon foils, were used for the measurements. The overall experimental error ranged from about 11% for the α1, group till about 14% for the α2 group. (orig.)
