Pressure dynamics on ion stimulated gas desorption in a proton synchrotron vacuum chamber

Description

The method to calculate pressure dynamics in the vacuum chamber of a proton synchrotron has been worked out with account of step changing of proton intensity and the ion stimulated desorption coefficient during injection process from a booster into a main accelerator. The calculation formulae for pressure, allowing to optimize the main parameters of the vacuum system, are obtained. The calculation results for the vacuum systems of the first stage of accelerating-storage complex and the IHEP accelerator are given
