Australia's energy future
Description
Australian scientists from CSIRO consider that the new fuel for the 21st century will be hydrogen. Hydrogen will come from natural gas, coal, coalbed methane and eventually from methane hydrates and water. But hydrogen is currently costly to manufacture, bulky and expensive to compress for use and transport, and has yet to find its role in electricity generation. With significant resources of gas and coal the key to Australia's energy future will be a well balanced mix of resources which would achieve the cleanest and most efficient output
