The energy situation of our society

Description
Energy as the key to social and economical progress and the problems arising in this connection are mentioned. History shows that when one important energy Source is replaced by another, at least 60 years are necessary. Even if the scientific and technical progresses of the last years are taken into consideration, approximately the same time will pass until new energy production methods can be introduced. (GL)

Die Energie als Schluessel zum sozialen und wirtschaftlichen Fortschritt und die Propleme, die sich in diesem Zusammenhang stellen, werden angerissen. Aus der Geschichte zeigt sich, dass wenn ein gewichtiger Energiespender durch einen anderen ersetzt wird eine Zeitspanne von ca. 60 Jahren benoetigt wird. Auch wenn man die wissenschaftlichen und technischen Fortschritte der letzten Jahre in Betracht zieht, wird ungefaehr gleich viel Zeit bis zur Einfuehrung neuer Energieproduktionsmethoden verstreichen.
