Effective-range theory for van der Waals scattering

Creators

Description

The L>0 phase shifts δ_L for low-energy scattering by a van der Waals r⁻⁶ potential are calculated using the two-potential formula of scattering theory. We calculate tanδ_L up to and including the k2L+5lnk term. We compare our results with those obtained using the Born approximation.
