This volume contains the written versions of invited lectures presented at the 30th 'Internationale Universitaetswochen fuer Kernphysik' in Schladming, in February and March 1991. The generous support of our sponsors, the Austrian Ministry of Science and Research, the Government of Styria, and others, made it possible to invite expert lectures. The topics of the course were centered on aspects of quantum field theory, which are relevant for the recent developments in particle physics. (orig.)
