International cooperation among CMEA member states and Yugoslavia in the field of nuclear power production

Economic integration is an essential factor and an indispensable prerequisite of the production, utilization and efficiency of energy resources, as well as of the reliability of power supply in CMEA member states. Expenditures on power production are not only a high burden on the national economy and its accumulation capability but also main basis of the development of the national economy itself. The nuclear power industry is of ever increasing importance for the scientific and technological development. The creation of the nuclear basis may lead to fundamental changes in the long-term production of electricity and heat in all the countries of the community. Therefore, it is of great importance to increase the number of nuclear power plants. (author)
