A device to prevent discharges of contaminated gas to the atmosphere from a nuclear reactor at a reactor accident

Description
A system is described, where (at least) one tunnel connects the reactor hall with the atmosphere. The tunnel, filled with rocks, should offer a volume large enough for the expanding gases from a reactor core accident in order that no radioactive gases reach the atmosphere. (L.E.)
