Alpha decay of neutron resonances and the testing of α-particle optical potentials in the deep subbarrier region

Description
The alpha decay of excited states of nuclei is investigated by studying the alpha decay of neutron resonances in medium and heavy nuclei. We calculated experimental transmission factors for a number of nuclei from data in the literature. We were able to select optical potential sets which gave a fairly good description of the experimental data on alpha-particle interactions
