Crystal structure of niobyl tetraphosphate (NbO)2P4O13

Description

The crystal structure of niobyl tetraphosphate is studied. It has been found that the (NbO)2P4O13 structure is built of zigzag [P4O13]6- anions interlayered with NbO3+ niobyl cations with formation of common frame. Despite the different symmetry of structures, the general feature of the (NbO)2P4O13 structure is analogous to that found in (MoO)2P4O13, [P4O13]6- anions in these two structures and in [NH4]2SiP4O13 have a similar configuration
