Prospects for wind energy after privatisation

  • 1. Garrad Hassan and Partners, London (United Kingdom)

Description

The purpose of this workshop was to address the non-technical issues which now face wind energy in Britain. The new Electricity Bill, the associated contracts and licenses and the rates review formed a convenient peg on which to hang the workshop but really only half of the meeting addressed these topics. The second half considered other issues which may prove important in determining the level at which wind energy can be exploited in Britain, or even whether it can be exploited at all. 4 of the papers were selected and indexed separately.
