Effect of activators of cAMP accumulation on some stages of cell genome expression in the animal body acutely affected by ionizing radiation

Description
A study was made of the template activity of the nuclear chromatin of hepatic and splenic cells of albino rats 2, 12 and 24 h after total-body X-irradiation, and of rats pretreated with radioprotectors - papaverine and serotonin. The radioprotective agents were shown to prevent considerably the inhibiting action of ionizing radiation on the template activity of the spleen chromatin, and to stimulate (serotonin and serotonin+papaverine) the template activity of the liver chromatin in both normal and exposed animals
