Description

The effect of standing time and potential of leaching liquor for a uranium-molybdenum ore on emulsion formation in extraction operation was studied. The results showed that when the potential was -500 mV and the standing time was zero, much deposit and emulsion was produced in the extraction operation. When the potential was -500 mV and the standing time was 24 h, the extraction operation can run steadily. When the potential was -400 mV and the standing time was 24 h, the organic phase became ropy and much deposit was produced in the extraction operation. So, it was proposed that the potential of the leaching liquor was -500 mV and the standing time was 24 h to make sure that the extraction operation can run steadily. (authors)
