Resonance production in exclusive multiparticle final states and inclusive features of K+d reactions at 4.6 GeV/c

The investigations presented here are based on the data from a K+d experiment at 4.6 GeV/c performed with the 2 m bubble chamber at CERN. In studies of exclusive reactions with at least 4 charged particles in the final state channel cross sections, effective mass distributions and resonance fractions are measured. Production of K* (1225) is observed. Furthermore integrated (semi-) inclusive single particle cross sections for the production of π-, K0 and Λ as well as (semi-)inclusive x- and p2-trans-distributions are determined. (orig.)

Abstract (German)

Die vorgelegten Untersuchungen basieren auf Daten vom K+d-Experiment bei 4.6 GeV/c, die mit der 2 m Blasenkammer am CERN durchgefuehrt wurden. Bei der Untersuchung der exklusiven Reaktionen mit bis zu 4 geladenen Teilchen im Endzustand wurden der entsprechende Wirkungsquerschnitt, die effektiven Massenverteilungen und die Resonanzanteile gemessen. Die Erzeugung von K* (1.225) wird beobachtet. Ferner werden integrierte (semi-) inklusive Einteilchenwirkungsquerschnitte fuer die Erzeugung von π-, K0 und Λ sowie fuer (semi)-inklusive x- und p2-trans-Verteilungen bestimmt. (orig.)
