Description
Total single-electron-capture cross sections have been measured for impact of N2+, Ne2+, Ar2+, Kr2+, and Xe2+ at 5-40 keV on Li(2s). The results are compared with other available data and can be quantitatively explained with a modified classical over-barrier transition model, assuming primary-ion-core conservation and taking into account the respective arrangements of available final projectile states
