Electrodynamics in a graser field

Description
A model calculation for the interaction of a free non-relativistic electron with a gamma-ray laser (graser) beam for both spatially independent and spatially dependent electric field strengths of the beam (for 0 and π/2 radians phase differences between the electron and the electric field) is reported. The calculation shows reflection, transmission or trapping of the electron. The other terms to be included in this calculation for a more realistic interaction are also indicated.
