Optimization of air distribution in a ventilated laboratory: applications to the personnel protection
Description
This paper deals only with what occurs inside a ventilated room, that is to say with the evolution of air masses between the intake openings and the renewal openings. To understand the dynamics of this evolution, the inventory and the brief description of phenomena which are associated, are given: effect of an intake opening, free jet dynamics, effect of a renewal opening, renewal time, concept of homogenization, steady state or pulsed transfers, confinement principles, heat source influence. These notions are confronted with thoses of optimization of the protection
Abstract (French)
Cet article traite seulement ce qui se passe a l'intereur d'un local ventile, c'est-a-dire de l'evolution des masses d'air entre la ou les bouches de soufflage et les bouches de reprises. Pour comprendre la dynamique de cette evolution, on se propose de faire l'inventaire et la description tres abregee des phenomenes qui y sont associes: effet d'une bouche de soufflage, dynamique du jet libre, effet d'une bouche d'aspiration, notion de temps de renouvellement, concept d'homogeneisation, les transferts en regime continu ou impulsionnels, les principes de confinement, l'influence des sources thermiques.
