Effect of load rate on fracture toughness of steel 15Ch2MFA
Description
The static and dynamic fracture toughness of steel 15Kh2MFA for WWER reactor pressure vessels was experimentally tested using a pendulum impact testing machine at an impact rate of up to 1.5 m/s. The shearing strength was determined for different loading rates and relations were derived for the variation of the dynamic characteristics of elasto-plastic fracture toughness with temperature.
