Creation of screens for LABIHS simulator

This article provides a general view of the LABIHS simulator, located at the Human Reliability and Instrumentation Division of IEN institute. It consists of 8 PCs working as terminals and a workstation where runs a compact simulator that uses a PWR nuclear power plant as basis. The simulator makes possible the execution of different tasks, as: initial operation training for future operators of PWR NPP; verify and validate operator support systems and graphic interfaces for NPP control rooms; enable the development of operator support systems; and analyze ergonomic aspects in the control room using several techniques and technologies. This article describes the simulator composing elements and the software used to create its screens, explaining its interface and the necessary steps to create an example screen. (author)
