Numerical analysis of coupled explosion-current compression of plasma
- 1. Polska Akademia Nauk, Warsaw. Inst. Podstawowych Problemow Techniki
Description
Numerical solution of D-T compression problem in a cylindrical system is presented. The D-T compression is obtained by means of a profiled chemical explosion accompanied by an electric current pinch. The analysis is performed in the frame of magnetohydrodynamics. The electric conductivity is assumed to be finite and temperature dependent. It is shown that it is possible to reach up the critical parameters of fussion in the system. (Z.M.)
