Creators

Description

Layered materials constitute a large group of compounds, some of which are of large current technological interest. The weak interlayer forces offer the possibility of intercalation. The properties of this particular class of solids are reviewed with the aims of a better understanding of the intercalation process and indicating guide lines of improving the performance of the materials.
