Graphite furnace for atom-absorption spectral analysis

Description
The furnace proposed consists of a cylindical pipe with a sampling hole in the middle, and is characterized by two identical channels on the outer surface at equal distances from the ends. The advantage of this furnace to the existing ones is that it ensures axially isothermal conditions between the two channels leading to an improved sensitivity and accuracy of analysis. This is achieved by a higher energy release at the channels due to the higher electical resistance (when voltage is applied at the ends) which compensates the temperature drop near the ends contacting the stand
