Description
Two oil crises and the reactor accident at Chernobyl have had a profound effect on the population in the USSR and its awareness of environmental issues and hazards. The contribution explains the energy policy and scenarios and the changes undergone in the USSR, the COMECON countries, in the Middle East and in the Persian Gulf, in the Pacific Ocean area, in the North Sea area, and in the USA, also pointing out consequences for the current situation. Zwei Oelschocks und der Reaktorunfall von Tschernobyl haben in der UdSSR langfristig zu verstaerktem Umwelt- und Risikobewusstsein bei der sowjetischen Bevoelkerung gefuehrt. Ueber dieses energiepolitische Szenario in der UdSSR sowie die Szenarien RGW, OPEC und Naher Osten, Gefahr im Golf, der pazifischen Welt, der Nordsee und USA wird berichtet und nach ihren Folgen fuer die Gegenwart gefragt.
