Description
Phase and structure stability of Ti-36 at%Al alloy irradiated by neutrons, high energy electron and Ti ions was investigated by X-ray analysis and electron microscopy. According to the equilibrium diagram the investigated alloy was consisted of two intermetallic phases: 1) Ti3 Al (α2-phase, ordered structure of DO19-type; 2) Ti Al (γ-phase, ordered structure L l0-type). It was determined, that mechanism of phase transformation depended on radiation particle nature. The differences in alloys behaviour under the irradiation by the particles of different nature leads to the features in microhardness changes in investigated samples
