FEL studies in China
Description
The FEL study in China is overviewed. The physical design and research of the Beijing FEL oscillator (BFEL), using the electron beam from a 30 MeV rf, linac, and of the SG-1 FEL, using the electron beam from a 4 MeV induction linac, are discussed. After a brief history of FEL research, the technical features, the desired goals and experimental results for the subsystem of BFEL and SG-1 FEL are described briefly.
