A stable non-self-sustaining thermonuclear reaction in a tokamak reactor

  • 1. AN Ukrainskoj SSR, Kiev. Inst. Yadernykh Issledovanij

Description

The possibility of stable, induced thermonuclear combustion with a positive energy yield in tokamaks at plasma temperatures of T approximately 10-20keV is demonstrated. The analysis takes into account the non-ideality of high-energy α-particle confinement in the plasma column. Neoclassical and empirical formulas are used to describe transport processes in the plasma. (author)
