Character of phase formation in M-Sc-N, M-Mn-N system

Description
Using the method of nitration of metal alloys, solid solutions have been synthesized in the systems M-Sc-N, M-Mn-N, where M-Ti, V, Cr. An X-ray phase analysis and an investigation of the pycnometric density showed that a limited series of solid solutions of substitution with a defective structure of the type of NaCl are formed in the indicated systems. In the system Cr-Sc-N rhombic distortion of the crystal lattice of the type of NaCl is observed at a low temperature. The parameters of the rhombic cell and the phase transition temperature are not affected by the composition of the solid solution
