Fuel management of a power plant system consisting of a single reactor type
Description
Based on the standardized parameters of different reactor types, calculations were carried out to describe the fuel management of the power plant systems containing either open- or closed-cycle thermal power reactors or fast breeders in equilibrium and non-equilibrium state. Uranium consumption and natural uranium utilization factors are given depending on the start-up exponent of the system. The relative order of certain reactor types according to the fuel utilization factor has changed when closed-cycle types substituted the open-cycle ones. (V.N.) 28 figs
