A set of methods for studying the stiffness of irradiated fuel assemblies in gloveboxes
Description
An integrated set of methods and devices is developed to provide measuring the rigidity of fuel assembly structures. The set includes the following: measuring techniques for dimensions and form changing of fuel assemblies; investigation methods for force parameters of springs; devices for measuring the required pulling force for fuel elements; the machine for testing flexural rigidity of the WWER-1000 fuel assemblies; the machine for testing resistance to axial compression and to loading with external and internal pressure for the WWER-440 fuel assembly shrouds
