Procedures for operator assessment on a simulator (information to be used in the collection of operator reliability data on a full-scale simulator)

Description

The report is structured as follows: (1) Introduction: Data collection on the Nuclear Power Plants Research Institute reactor control room simulator in Trnava, Slovakia; Current status of quantification of human reliability in PSA studies of Czech nuclear power plants. (2) Starting points for the utilization of data collection on a full-scale simulator in current PSA studies: Proposal for a formal selection procedure for simulated scenarios which are most appropriate for data collection; Methodology for the use of the information rate for the selection of human interventions for simulation. (3) Selection of human interventions for monitoring on a full-scale simulator with respect to their risk significance. (4) Conclusions for organizing the monitoring of training on a simulator following from the analysis of significance of human interventions in a PSA study and the ensuing selection. (P.A.)
