Maraging steel
Description
Maraging steel containing carbon, nickel, molybdenum, aluminium, iron is suggested. To increase the limit of strength, yield strength and impact strength it additionally contains Mn, Ni, Y, Hf. The steel is melted in the induction furnace. Thermal treatment consisted of homogenization at 1000 deg, quenching from 800 deg, at aging520 deg C during 5 hours. Steel application will permit to reduce the weight of castings by 1.2-1.4 times due to the increase of yield strength, strength limit and impact strength. The economy for 1 t of casting is 85 rubles
