Description
Objective: To investigate the radiographic findings of multiple pulmonary and pleural tuberculomas. Methods: The clinical and radiographic materials of 5 patients with multiple pulmonary tuberculomas and 4 patients with multiple pleural tuberculomas were analyzed. Results: Multiple pulmonary tuberculomas demonstrated round-like nodules, of them 13 with smooth margin,7 with lobulated margin, and 5 with an coarse spiculation. Homogeneous density was demonstrated in 16 nodules and satellite lesions were observed in 7 nodules. Round-like shape of multiple pleural tuberculomas were found in 11 nodules, with smooth margin in 9 nodules, homogeneous densities in 9, calcification in 2, and thickened pleura in 11. Conclusion: Multiple pulmonary tuberculomas are almost located in upper or middle lung field, with homogeneous density. Most nodules fail to show specific signs of pulmonary tuberculoma. Multiple pleural tuberculomas demonstrates round-like nodules with smooth margin and thickened pleura
