Measurement of distortion in nuclear photoemulsion by means of α-particles from radioactive source

Description

The measuring method of the distortion in a nuclear photoemulsion by means of the radioactive source 232Th(212Po) is described. The results of distortion measuring in the emulsion layer with the thickness of 15 μm are presented. The merit of this method for distortion evaluation is its independence from an accelerator

Abstract (Russian)

Описана методика измерения дисторсии в ядерной фотоэмульсии при помощи α-частиц от радиоактивного источника 232Th(212Po). Приведены результаты измерения дисторсии в эмульсионном слое толщиной 15 мкм. Достоинством данного метода для оценки дисторсии является его независимость от ускорителя
