Studies of the 6Li(n,t)4He reaction

Measurements have been made on the 6Li(n,t)4He reaction and on its inverse the T(α,6Li)n reaction in the neutron energy region between 200 keV and 3.5 MeV. Angular distributions of the tritons and the 6Li-ions have been measured at together six different energies for the 6Li(n,t)4He and the T(α,6Li)n reactions, respectively. The results show a significant change in the angular distributions between 2.8 and 3.5 MeV of neutron energy. The 6Li(n,t) cross section has been calculated from measurement of the excitation function for the T(α,6Li)n reaction relative to the elastic α-t scattering. The measurement was made at an angle of 30 in the laboratory system and at alpha energies from 11.5 to 17.0 MeV. In a separate measurement the α-t differential scattering cross sections were measured at alpha energies between 11.5 and 17 MeV. (Atuh.)
