Environmental surveillance of radiation around heavy ion research facility in Lanzhou

Description
The surveillance of total α and β radioactivities in soil, plants and water in the environment around the HIRFL is described. Continuous monitoring of seven-years shows that the activity of all samples collected around the HIRFL is at background level and the facility's operation has not caused any measurable contamination to the environment
