Precision determination of the top quark mass

  • 1. Rutgers, State Univ. of New Jersey, Piscataway (United States)

Description

The mass of the top quark is a fundamental parameter of the Standard Model and its measurement allows both to verify the consistency of the model predictions and to set constraints on possible, still unobserved physics. In this paper we present a selected review of the most recent or relevant results obtained by the Cdf and DZero collaborations using up to about 3.6 f b-1 of proton-antiproton collisions at √s ≅ 1.96 TeV produced at the Tevatron collider.
