Doses applied to the rectum in radiotherapy of oncogynecological patients

The results of immediate measurements of radiation loads on the rectum in two types of therapy of oncogynecological patients - tele- and intracavitary are presented. The measurements are made with the help of integral thermoluminescent glass dosimeters. The actual values of radiation loads are determined and the errors of calculated assessments in the generally accepted methods are established. The causes of divergencies between the calculated assessments and the results of measurements for each of the four methods of the radiation effects are discussed
