The influence of ionising radiation on appearance of micronuclei in lymphocytes of horses

Description

Within the framework of a wider investigation of Bosnian mountain horse, a preliminary study was conducted to assess the relative micronucleus frequency after in vitro irradiation of peripheral blood. The results of the micronucleus test are shown as micronucleus count per cell. In control samples the percentage of micronuclei is much lower than in irradiated samples. The effect was dose-dependent.(author)
