Convolution models of deep inelastic scattering: The three-nucleon bound states as a test case

Description
Convolution models for deep inelastic lepton scattering by nuclei have been derived under different physical assumptions and approximations. Using realistic three-nucleon wave functions derived from Faddeev equations we give a critical quantitative comparison of different models. The contributions of Δ-isobar and pion degrees of freedom are also considered. (orig.)
