Exact values of the aberration coefficients of a quadrupole lens represented by the rectangular model

Description

In this paper, the general formulae of the aberration coefficients of a quadrupole lens are recalled. The choice of the rectangular model for the characteristic function is justified, exact values of the aberration coefficients are given and further applications of the results are discussed. (Auth.)
