Nuclear fusion
Description
This general review of the controlled thermonuclear research program covers the basic physics of fusion reactions along with the quantitative requirements for fusion power. Magnetic confinement and inertial confinement approaches are described. Present fusion experiments such as the PLT, magnetic mirrors, and theta pinch devices are reviewed. 14 references
