Metal sorption by polymers from hydrochloric solutions

Description

Sorption has been studied of trace amounts of gold and 24 accompanying additives by polymer of the basis of polyethylene glycol derivatives from hydrochloric solutions within the concentration range of 0.5-9.0 moles/l HCl. It has been shown that studied sorbents are selective in the processes of gold extraction from 0.5-3.0 moles/l HCl solutions, and they are also effective for group extraction of gold, gallium, antimony, iron and tin from concentrated HCl solutions (7-9 moles/l HCl). Structure of best sorbents has polyethylene fragments with six and more atoms of oxygen and ability to realize pseudo macrocyclic effect. This specific class of sorbents is recommended for practical application for gold and other valuable metals extraction
