Fuel channel monitoring equipment for AGRs

Description

The design of AGR cores is based upon graphite data obtained from small samples. Confirmatory monitoring of bulk graphite data is obtained from direct measurement of fuel brick internal diameters and examination of specimens removed from the graphite. This paper describes the fuel Channel Monitoring Equipment which has been supplied to AGR Stations to enable measurements and graphite samples to be obtained throughout the life of the reactors.
