A second look at the PWR pressure vessel
Description
A review is given of progress in the study of pressure vessel safety as revealed by the recommendations of the second report of the Marshall study group, 'An assessment of the integrity of PWR pressure vessels'. Recent developments in fracture mechanics, ultrasonic inspection and manufacturing are discussed. (U.K.)
