New normal ranges for the radioiodine uptake in Tidewater Virginia
Description
The new mean value for the normal 24 hour radioiodine uptake in Tidewater, Virginia is 12.8 percent. The euthyroid range is set at 5 to 33 percent. Reasons for the overlap of the hypothyroid and euthyroid values are discussed. (U.S.)
