BEC phase boundary in BaCuSi2O6

Description

Torque magnetisation data are presented which probe the line of second order phase transitions approaching the Bose-Einstein condensation (BEC) quantum critical point (QCP) in BaCuSi2O6. Results reveal that as the temperature is lowered, the phase transition is increasingly dominated by quantum rather than thermal fluctuations near the QCP
