Equilibrium Deformations of the Ground and Excited States in Nuclei
Description
The deformations of atomic nuclei, i.e. the deviations of their shape from the spherical one, are discussed. An attempt is made to understand the origin and nature of deformation. Various aspects of the problem such as axial symmetry, higher multipole (hexadecapole) components, deformations of the excited states, potential and kinetic energy in the fission process, etc. are discussed. Abstract (Russian)
Rassmatrivajutsja deformacii atomnyh jader, t. e. otklonenija ih formy ot sfericheskoj. Sdelana popytka ponjat' prichinu i prirodu deformacij. Obsuzhdajutsja razlichnye aspekty problemy, kak, naprimer, aksial'naja simmetrija, vysshie mul'tipol'nye (geksadekapol'nye) kompo- nety, deformacii vozbuzhdennyh sostojanij, potencial'naja i kineticheskaja jenergija v processah delenija i dr.
