Metabolism and subsequent binding of benzo(a)pyrene to DNA in pleuronectid and salmonid fish
Creators
- 1. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Seattle, WA
Description
A recent study with marine fish showed that liver enzymes from coho salmon and starry flounder extensively metabolized benzo(a)pyrene into reactive intermediates that bind to DNA. The metabolism of benzo(a)pyrene was investigated by high-performance liquid column chromatography
