Composition and superconductivity of high pressure phases in Ti-H(D) system

Description

Jumps of volume and electric resistance at high pressure phase formation in the initial (α+γ)-hydrides in TiHx are measured at pressures up to 2.7 kbar within 0.27 ≤ H/Ti ≤ 1.35 concentration interval. It is found that dependences of property jumps on density have maxima at x=0.69, caused by single-phase state formation. Measurements of Tc(x) superconducting transition temperatures in TiH(D)x hydrides and deuterides, 0.68 ≤ x ≤ 1.26, hardened under 63 kbar pressure, are carried out. It is determined, that superconducting transition temperatures do not depend on concentration, and for TiH(D)x ε-phase the reverse isotope effect is established: Tc=4.3±0.1 K for TiHx and Tc=5.0±0.1 K for TiDx
